I was thinkin sage, cedar, lily of the valley, sandlewood see too many choices....help!!! I have 15 tables I am putting 4 votives with the centerpieces. Should I only make 1 out of the 4 candles at each table scented. Don%26#039;t want to make it smell to much right? OR should I only put scented candles on like guest table and memorial table etc?
What scent candle is nice for ceremony and reception and how many?
I would put 4 candles. The scent will not be too over powering. What color do you want? I chose the color or my candels first- and then I decided what scents were available in that color. If you let me know your color choices I%26#039;ll let you know the best scents.
I%26#039;ve done tons of reseach on this already.
Reply:I don%26#039;t recommend scented candles on tables at the reception. Most hostesses will tell you that the scent interferes with the smell and taste of the food. That%26#039;s why restaurants don%26#039;t use scented candles.
Reply:PartyLite Candle Co. has a scent called White Tea and Ginger. It is an ivory candle that smells incredible. www.partylite.com Candles really add an elegant touch to weddings. I had them on every table, and it really lit up the room. One-Two scented candles per table is appropriate. The White tea and ginger candle is a lightly scented candle so two would be OK. Good luck with planning your big day!!:)
Reply:vanilla scented. It has a peaceful scent, perfect for a cermony, one candle on every other table and several on the memorial table etc. mark my word.you will know exact how many candle when you start placing them.Have a nice ceremony.
Reply:I agree with you as to not having all of the candles with a scent but rather just one out of the four. Some people have allergies and cough so I don%26#039;t think that just one will hurt anyone. I would go with a light scent and it kind of depends on what season your are getting married. For example, cedar would be more for the Christmas holidays. I like the Lilly of the Valley or Sandlewood for Spring/Summer or just Vanilla would be good too. Go ahead and put them at all of the tables. The room will have a light scent and not just the head table. ARe you going to put a mirror under the candles for additional glow....more bang for your dollar. Did you know that you can actually buy 12%26quot; mirror tiles from Lowes or Home depot in a box instead of renting them from hotels, etc? That way you can actually use the mirrors for many years to come when you entertain, for Christmas and other holidays. It is just a thought. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. Enjoy it and don%26#039;t stress, okay? Best Wishes!
Reply:Yankee Candle has a good candle, it%26#039;s sage and something else. It would be nice, because it%26#039;s not too strong a scent. They also have a camellia scented one and cotton blossom. Placae three to four on each table. It should be great!
Reply:I think cannibas scented candles are a nice touch. Put about 4 at each table
Reply:Lavender scent shd be very nice. It%26#039;s said to have a calming, relaxing and soothing smell. On how many candles to put it depends how big is your hall. I would say a standard ballroom, shd put abt 7-8 candles.
Reply:I also think you should probably go light on the scent. Im assuming since you%26#039;ll have 15 tables, there will be around 100+ people (guessing because we%26#039;re having 15 round tables holding 10 a piece so 150 people). I personally get migrains, so scented stuff really can irritate me easily. I would just be careful with putting out tons of scented stuff, because im sure if theres at least 100 people, there will be a few would may sensitive to smells.
In my opinion, a nice vanilla scent wouldnt be too overpowering. Or if you really want one of the scents you listed, maybe put about 5 total here and there (maybe not at the tables, but close by) and put non-scented candles on the tables that are the same colors, or colors that go with your theme.
Good luck and Congrats on the wedding!!
Reply:coconut, one per table, with pinapple and ham chunks for apetizers
Reply:id say go easy on the scented candles....some people may be allergic to too much scent and it%26#039;ll give headaches, as for the scent to choose, pick one you like! one that is sweet and not too strong. it needs to give a warming sensation.
